Calicut

Calicut which is also known as  Kozhikode is the third largest city that belongs to the state of  Kerala. It is situated on the Malabar Coast. The city is also being referred as "City of Sculptures" for there are many ancient architectural sculptures seen in different parts of this city.  According to history, this city was once a powerful trading centre for Arabs, Chinese and East African traders during the 12 century. Air:
Calicut International Airport is situated at at Karipur in Malappuram. It is about 26 kms away from the city.

Rail:
Calicut has railway station of its own. There are trains to major cities like Kochi, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore, Kannur, Mangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi. vijayawada, vishakaptnam, Hyderabad.

Bus:

Ankola

A panchayat town in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, Ankola is a small coastal town. A town, which has many beaches, Ankola is famous for its unique breed of mango, which is called ishaad and is also known for its cashews. Belekeri beach in Ankola town is a natural port rich in iron ore, which is exported to China and Europe. Ankola is surrounded by temple towns and villages on all sides. Yakshagan and Suggi, a form of tribal folk dance has its roots in this town.
