Panipat

An ancient city in the Panipat district of Haryana, the city of Panipat is located about 95 km from Delhi and 160 km from Chandigarh. The river Yamuna flows across this city. Panipat is known for the battles fought during the Mughal era in India. It is also popularly called the ‘City of Weavers’ due to the presence of several handloom industries. The city has one of the longest flyovers in India built across the Grand Trunk Road.
