About Dhamtari


Dhamtari is one of the oldest municipalities around Raipur in Chhattisgarh. The land here is very fertile which helps the cultivation of paddy. The area is also known for its lead deposits. The region is well- nourished by the Mahnandi River and its tributaries - Sendur, Sondur, Pairy, Joan, Shivnath and Kharun. Dhamtari also houses the headquarters of the Mennonite Church. There are many schools and colleges in this region.
