About Dhar

Dhar

Dhar is a city in the Malwa region of the state of Madhya Pradesh which was initially ruled by the Pawars or the Puars. This Maratha princely state is now the administrative headquarters of the Dhar District.

Morbi is a small industrialized city in Gujarat. Rajkot (62 km) is its closest neighbour. Once a princely state under British Raj, it was ruled by the Jadeja family till India’s independence in 1947.
