About Didwana

Didwana is a town located in the Nagaur district of Rajasthan, situated in the Thar Desert. The history of this town dates back to over 5000 years. The name of the town is derived from the word Deen Deewana and was known as Deedwana as well. Didwana is located 172 km away from the state capital of Jaipur. While Hinduism is rather prominent in this town, Didwana is considered as the epicentre of the Islamic Sufi movement.
