Dudu

Doodhu is a small village in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. It comes within the Barmer district. The district headquarters, Barmer, lies at a distance of 59 km north of the village. The state capital of Jaipur lies at a distance of 573 km north-east of the village. It lies within the Thar desert region, with the Pakistan border being just 139 km (two and half hours’ drive) away.

Sojat is a small municipal town on the banks of river Sukri, situated in Palli district of Rajasthan. Palli is 40 kms away from Sojat and are well connected to each other. Famous for its good quality henna production, the city also happens to be the largest exporter of henna from India. Sojat fort and its reservoir along with numerous century old temples are some of the city’s famous landmarks.

The city is punctuated with beautiful Havelis and old temples. Chamunda Mata Temple, located on a hillock is a pretty site (6 kms from Sojat). The birthplace of the famous poetess Mirabai is a popular tourist attraction. However the Mehandi plantations in the area are an absolute must see.
