About Gangakhed


A city in Parbhani district of Maharashtra, Gangakhed is remembered for being the birth place of Shree Sant Janabai. Situated on the banks of the River Godavari, Gangakhed is believed to have the largest number of temples on the banks of the holy river. The Shree Balaji temple in the city is also a favourite among pilgrims, as it is believed to be as auspicious as the Balaji temple at Tirupati.
