About Gudlur

Gudlur

Gudlur is a village in Andhra Pradesh. It is part of the Prakasham district. It used to be called Netrapuri and is the birthplace of a famous Telugu poet called Yerrana. He was born in the 14th century. The village is called Gudlur because of the many temples that have been constructed in it. This area is prone to droughts and so many families have migrated to other parts of Andhra Pradesh from this region. Gudlur still has many poets.
