Jhunjunu is a town in the state of Rajasthan and lies right in the middle of the Shekawati province. It is also the administrative headquarters of the Jhunjunu district. The town was named after a Jat named Jhunja Singh Nehra or Jhunjha. It is popular for the frescos at the roof of the havelis. A number of people from here join the Indian defence services.
