Karad, a city in Maharashtra’s Satara district, is also known as the sugar bowl of Maharashtra owing to the numerous sugar factories that dot the vicinity. Athani

A town in Belgaum district of Karnataka,Athani is well known for being the birthplace of famous Kannada poets and writers and their contribution to Kannada literature. Located 150kms from Belgaum city and 75kms from Bijapur, Athani is an agricultural town and the river Krishna flows through the Taluk.
