About Kedarnath


Perched at an altitude of 3584 m above mean sea level, Kedarnath is a popular pilgrimage site of the country. The town has been named after King Kedar, who reigned supreme during the Satya Yuga. With the majestic Himalayas in the background, blended with alpine forests and colourful rhododendrons, Kedaranath is known for its picturesque environs.
