A hilly, forested village in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, Konni is situated on the banks of the mighty Achencoil River. Konni is slowly emerging as a popular tourist destination, since the vast expanse of forests of the Western Ghats crisscrossed by numerous streams and rivulets gives it a picturesque setting. The lush green village has been prominent as a haven of wild elephants and as an elephant training centre.
