Koyilandy, also spelt as Quilandy or Quilandi, is a municipality and a city in the Kozhikode district of Kerala state. It is well connected by NH 66 and falls between Kozhikode and Vatakara towns. The economy of Koyilandy thrives on fishing. The famous freedom fighter K. Kelappan was born in Muchukunnu which happens to be a nearby village to Koyilandy.
