About Lonavala



Lonavla or Lonavale is a hill station in the Pune district of Maharashtra. Located on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Lonavala is 64 kms from Pune and 96 kms from Mumbai. This place holds many beautiful places like waterfalls, woody meadows and lush green valleys. Lonavala is famous for the hard candy sweet known as chikki.  It is also an adobe of many film directors for shooting.

How to get there



The nearest airport is the Pune International Airport (64 kms).  



Local trains run from Pune to Lonavla at two hour intervals. All trains, whether traveling from Mumbai to Pune or Pune to Mumbai, stop at Lonavla.

About Malvan


Malvan is a historical town in Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. Being a coastal town, the staple food of the population here is fish curry and rice. Malvan is also known for the varieties of mangoes produced here, which include the Alphonso. Sweets such as Ladoos and Khaja from this town are popular across the state. Malvani Dashavtar, which is a drama based on mythological stories forms an important part of Malvani culture.

How to Get There

The nearest airport to Malvan is the Dabolim Airport (132 km).

The nearest railway station is in Kudal which has daily trains to and from Mumbai.

Maharastra State road Transport Corporation provides daily bus service from Pune (387 km). Buses from Mumbai (514 km) and Ratnagiri (200 km) are also available. Volvo bus is the most preferred choice of all travellers these days.
