About Mahe

Mahe

Formerly a French colony, Mahé, which now comes under the Mahé district of the Union Territory of Puducherry, which is on the east coast, is surrounded by Kannur and Calicut District of Kerala. Also known as Mayyazhi, Maheis famous for the St. Teresa's Church, which brings in people from Singapore, Sri Lanka and England every year during the annual festival. Athani

A town in Belgaum district of Karnataka,Athani is well known for being the birthplace of famous Kannada poets and writers and their contribution to Kannada literature.
