About Mandi


Mandi district is one of the central districts of the state of Himachal Pradesh.  This town is located on the banks of river Beas.   Mandi derives its name 'mandi' or 'market' as it was a major trade route from Ladhakh. About Karnal


A historic city in Haryana, Karnal belongs to the Karnal district. It was originally called Karnalaya, meaning home of Karna. The city is known to be founded during the Mahabharata era by King Karna. It is located almost halfway between Chandigarh and Delhi at about 130 km south and north of the two cities respectively, on the Grand Trunk Road (NH-1). Karnal is a walled city with 10 gates originally, but not all exist today.
