Manjeshwar

Manjeshwar falls at the northern side of Kerala. It’s a tiny village in the heart of the Kasargod district and is situated 21 km from Mangalore. The well known Srimad Anantheshwara temple is located here. In 2007, a Tulu academy was set up here by its government. Manjeshwar sees monsoon during June-September, while the spring season arrives here in November and lasts until January. A variety of sea food is available here and is a crucial part of its cuisine.

One of the oldest cities in Kottayam district of Kerala, Vaikom is situated very close to Cochin (31 km). The western side of the city is surrounded by the Vembanad Lake. This city is known for its Vaikom Shiva Temple, which is called the Thekkan Kashi (Kashi of the South). It attracts a huge number of pilgrims from near and far during Vaikkom Ashthami, which is held in November.
