Basroor

Basroor (or Basrur) is in Kundanpur of the Udupi district in Karnataka. The village was also known as Bares, Barsellor, Basnut and Bares. It was most often called Vasupura. This is a historic port-town on the banks of Varahi River. Basroor is known for its temples and has been written about by Kannada writer and novelist Dr. K. Shivarama Karanth.
