Mehabubnagar

Mahbubnagar, a district town in Andhra Pradesh, was formerly known as Palamoor as the people of this area sold milk. The region was renamed to Mahbubnagar in honour of Mir Mahabub Ali Khan, a Nizam of Hyderabad. This town is on the border of Raichur, Nalgonda, Kurnool and Gulbarga. The world famous Kohinoor diamond is claimed to be from this town.
