About Moradabad


Moradabad is a sprawling, rapidly developing city in Uttar Pradesh. Situated on the banks of the river Ram Ganga, it is the capital of the Moradabad district. Nearby cities to Moradabad are Bareilly (67 km) and New Delhi (167 km).  Moradabad was founded by and named after the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan’s son Murad; and is also known as “Pital Nagri” or “City of Brass” because of its renowned brass industry.
