Mudarangadi is a suburban village in the Udupi taluka of the Udupi district (25 km) in Karnataka. It is about 350 km away from Bangalore. The village gets its name from two words, ‘mudara’, meaning fertile soil and ‘angadi’, meaning bazaars or open shops. Villages such as Shirva, Belman, and Palimaru are located very close to Mudarangadi. Mudubidri, Karkala, and Mangalore are the nearest cities. It is also quite close to the Arabian Sea.
