About Nainital

Nainital

Nainital is a famous hill station in the Uttarakhand. It is surrounded by the Kumaon Hills and is connected to NH 87. One of the attractions of Nainital is its beautiful peach-shaped lake. According to local folklore, the Naini Lake is one of the 64 places where the eyes of Parvati fell while Lord Shiva was transporting them. This is why this area is called ‘Nain-tal’ which means ‘lake of the eye.’
