About Nathdwara


A town in Rajasthan, Nathdwarais located in the Aravalli hills, on the banks of the Banas River. This town is famous for its temple of Krishna which houses the14th-century idol of Shrinathji. Set amid idyllic hillsNathdwaraitself is popularly referred to as ‘Shrinathji’. The shrine in this town was built in the 17th century. The town is also well-known for its 'pichhwai' paintings, handmade terracottas, ivory articles and milk-made sweets.

About Merta


Merta is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. It is a part of the Nagaur district. Once, ruled by the Merita Rathore Rajputs, the city was conquered and merged with Jodhpur under Akbar; while the slain ruler’s sons given charge of 14 principalities. The nearest major urban agglomeration is the city of Ajmer at a distance of 76 km west. Those with a keen interest for history and culture can visit this place.

The Sawai Mansingh International Airport in Jaipur is the nearest airport at a distance of 209 km north-east of the village.

The city has its own railway station in the form of Merta City Railway Station.
