About Nawada


A city and a municipality, Nawada is situated in the Magadh district of Bihar. A place rooted in history, Nawada was founded by King Brihadratha. Over a period of time, Nawada has gained religious importance for the Jain community, owing to the temples that are found in good measure here. Nawada is also a vital trade centre that has public offices, schools and dispensaries.

Nawada is connected to major cities via railheads such as Gaya, Bhagalpur, Jamalpur, Howrah, Kolkata that fall on Gaya-Kiul rail line.
