Situated at a distance of 40 km from Kozhikode, is the lovely beach town of Payyoli. Located on the north Malabar Coast in Kerala, Payyoli was the training ground for India’s former sprint queen, P.T. Usha. This place is also known for Theeram, a conservation centre for Olive Ridley turtles. Due to its long stretches of silver sands, Payyoli is particularly popular with tourists.
