Dondaicha city is in Maharashtra and rose to prominence during the British rule in India. The British used this city as a place to store their goods and this led to it becoming a hub for traders. It is a major station on the Bhusawal-Surat railway line, the first train stopped at Dondaicha in 1905. It is also famous for its production of chillies. Dondaicha has a population of over 42,000 people.
