A town surrounded by four states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar, Renukoot is a Nagar Panchayat in the Sondhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. The Rihand dam, located 1.5 km from Renukoot is a famous attraction which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1960. Renukoot also has Asia’s largest fully integrated aluminium plant. The weather here is pleasant in the months of October to March and attracts tourists around this time.
