About Sangli

Sangli

A city in the state of Maharashtra, Sangli is situated on the banks of the River Krishna and is the largest market place for turmeric in Asia. The city is known as Natyapandhari, the birthplace of Marathi drama and the ‘Sugar Belt of India’. One of the largest grape growing regions in Maharashtra, Sangli also houses the country’s only turmeric exchange. Padubidri

Padubidri or Padubidre is a small town in the coastal district of Udupi in the state of Karnataka. It is on the way from Udupi to Mangalore route. National Highway 17 (now NH 66) passes through Padubidri.  Padubidri is surrounded by Yermal in the north, Hejamady in the south, Nandikur (Nandikoor) in the east and the Arabian sea on the west.
