About Sasan Gir

Sasan Gir

The sole home of the Asiatic Lions, Sasan Gir also known as ‘Gir Van’ and ‘The Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary’ is a forest and wildlife sanctuary in Gujarat. With a total area of 1412 km², Sasan Gir was established in 1975. Known as ‘Mini Africa’, Sasan Gir is home to 2375 species of fauna and 400 species of flora. The park is located 43 km from Somnath, 65 km from Junagadh and 60 km from Amreli.

About Ankolvadi

Ankolvadi

Located in the southernmost tip of the Kathiwar peninsula in Gujarat, Ankolvadi is a small village. It is not very far away from the coast and is only 40 km away from the Arabian Sea. The world-famous Gir National park is also adjacent to the village. Visitors who come in should prepare themselves mentally for the heat and humidity way in advance.
