Sasaram is a city in Bihar. It is part of the Rohtas district, and also serves as its headquarters. The Mughal emperor Sher Shah Suri was born in this town and he built a lot of forts and tombs in this area, using the Indo-Ahghan style of architecture. Dehri is a municipality and city in Bihar. It is part of the Rohtas District. It serves as the headquarters for the Bihar Military Police. Dehri is situated on the banks of the Sone River, and for this reason is also called Dehri on Sone. It was a major industrial town until the mid 1970’s.
