About Sasaram

Sasaram

Sasaram is a city in Bihar. It is part of the Rohtas district, and also serves as its headquarters. The Mughal emperor Sher Shah Suri was born in this town and he built a lot of forts and tombs in this area, using the Indo-Ahghan style of architecture. Sasaram houses the tomb of Sher Shah Suri, which is a world heritage site. The Grand Trunk Road passes through this city, and hence it is very well connected by road.

Hazaribagh is a town in the state of Jharkhand. The name ‘Hazaribagh’ is a combination of two words from the Urdu and Persian languages. In both languages it means ‘One thousand Gardens’ (‘Hazar’ means ‘one thousand’ and ‘bagh’ means ‘garden.’) It is famous for the Hazaribagh National Park which is 17 km away from the town and the Health Resort.
