Sulthan Bathery is named after Tipu Sultan who ruled Mysore just before the British took over. Sulthan Bathery lies on the Kozhikode-Kollegal NH 766 and is the biggest town in the Wayanad district of Kerala. It is a major business hub which is situated 100 km from Ooty and 115 km from Mysore. Sulthan Bathery is also a shopper’s haven and provides visitors with textiles, electronics, building material, home appliances, automobiles and even products such as honey.
