Situated on the State Highway connecting Ahmednagar to Beed, Jamkhed is 78 km from Ahmednagar. At a distance of 22 km from Jamkhed lies a small village called Kharda which has the fort of the great king Shivaji Maharaj and Rajmata Jijau. Jamkhed has many schools.
