Thirrukadaiyur is a temple town in the state of Tamil Nadu. Chennai is about 300km from here whereas Karaikal is at a distance of 15km. The original temple of Thirrukadaiyur now known as Thirumeignanam was ravaged by the sea and is now in ruins. The new temple now gets throngs of devotees every year.
