A panchayat village in Ottapidaram Taluk in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu, Pasuvanthanai is located close to the Madurai-Thoothukudi National Highway 38. The State Highway 77 passes through this town connecting it with Kovilpatti and Puthiamputhur. Located 35kms from Thoothukudi, Passuvandanai is well-known in the region for the 13th century Arulmighu Kailasanathasamy Temple that is in the heart of the village.
