About Tumkur

Tumkur

Tumkur is a beautiful industrial town located in the administrative district of Karnataka state. It lies along NH 206 at a distance of 70 km northwest of Bangalore. Tumkur traverses great number of river valleys and fascinating hills with 4000 feet more spreading along the landscape. Bhalki

Bhalki is a historically significant town in the Bidar district of Karnataka and is part of the Bhalki Taluka. The city nearest to Bhalki is Bidar (45 km), which is the district headquarters. Bhalki got its name from the Lord Shiva temple Bhalkeshwar situated inside town limits. Bhalki was first mentioned in the 12th century Sharana Vachanas as “Bhallunke”. Bhalki has a cultural and religious diversity in its population that is reflected in its way of life.
