About Unava

Unava

Unava is a small village in the Unjha taluka in Mehsana district of Gujarat. It is located 21 km on the north from the district headquarters Mehsana and is 78 km away from the state capital Gandhinagar. It has a large population of both Hindus and Muslims. Unava is famous for its trading market of cumin seeds, tobacco, and fennel seeds. This market was established by Manilal Prabhudas Patel.

Bhilad is situated around 120 kms north of Mumbai and 130 kms South of Surat. It is a town in the Valsad district of Gujarat, situated between the Gujarat-Maharashtra border and the Union Territory Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The town is named after a small hill called “Bhilkhai Hill”. And it falls on the route to Mumbai on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Expressway. The hills surrounding Bhilad are Tarmia and Bhilad and they come under the Sahyadri Range making them a good, trekking destination.

Devotees from Gujarat and Maharasthra gather to celebrate this momentous occasion where the “dhvaja” (flag) was hoisted and the temple was officially inaugurated.
