A village situated along the East Coast road at the north end of Tuticorin district in Tamil Nadu, Vembar has a good mix of people from different communities. It is believed that the place was largely populated by Muslims, Ambalakarar and Paravas before Christian Missionaries came by to develop the village. The Vembar Holy Spirit Church is a place of worship that attracts people from all the surrounding villages. A quaint little village, agriculture is the primary source of income here.
