About Vetye


Vetye is a small village in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. The nearest major urban agglomeration is the city of Belgaum, across the border in Karnataka, at a distance of 105 km east. The capital city of Goa, Panjim, is not too far either and lies 57 km to the south along the Arabian Sea coast. Those who love to explore virgin beaches can try this place.

Places of Interest
The very first site to visit is the beach known as the Tarkarli Beach, which makes the village and the area so famous in the region. On a clear, sunny day, one is vividly able to see the sea-bed up to a depth of 20 feet. The Karli backawaters adjacent to the Arabian is one of the most beautiful in the country. You can take a boat ride at any point of time during the day and feel the strong breeze from the sea and enjoy the adjoining lush and green vegetative forest cover on the banks. Devbagh Sangam is a picturesque village in the area which is worth visiting.

The nearest airport is the Goa International Airport in Panjim at a distance of 80 km from the village.

The nearest major railway stations is the Belgaum Railway Station at a distance of 107 km from the village.
