Villupuram (also called as Viluppuram and Vizhupuram) is one of the 30 districts of Tamil Nadu. It serves as the district headquarters of Villupuram. This district came into existence on 30 September 1993 when it was formed from the South Arcot district. Villupuram is the 2nd largest district in the Tamil Nadu state.
