Vinukonda, a town in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district, is steeped in history. Legend has it that a hill, called the Hearing Hill, close to this town was the location where Rama was told about his wife Sita’s abduction. There is a 400-year-old Jama Masjid which is a major attraction of the city, besides several old temples.
