Earlier called the Virat Nagari, Wai is situated on the banks of Krishna River. It has the most beautiful ghats and temples that are worth visiting. Because of its scenic location several Bollywood movies like Chennai Express, Dabbang and Omkara were shot in Wai. Located in Satara district, the Sahyadri Mountains surround this picturesque town.
